These are really nice. Have to say I had quite a low opinion of some of the GW LotR plastics, but basing your colour scheme on Tolkien's original artwork has really paid off.
Thanks Gareth! I particularly like these, of all the LOTR range, because they were designed almost wholly by the Perry twins, without much to go on from the film. For that reason they seem, to me at least, rooted in history and plausible in pose and equipment. As with all Perry plastics, in my experience, the detail is a little more lightly defined than some other plastic kits, and they don't reward inking or washing as much .That's why I chose this method of blacklisting where I can define the detail a little more myself .
